We currently deliver to the UK, most of Europe, United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Japan.

For sample deliveries to the EU we use Royal Mail. For sample orders to the EU you may be required to pay import charges to your Government.

We canot send samples to Germany with Royal Mail as the German Government has deemed fabric samples from the UK as 'restricted goods'

If you wish to order samples to Germany then we can deliver using DHL and we pay the taxes but this means the delivery charge is significantly higher.

We are unable to send orders to Norway or Switzerland.

Orders to the EU with a value of more than £6.00 are now sent with all taxes paid by us. This means a longer delivery time as the goods have to first clear customs in Holland with our agent and are then sent for onward delivery via DHL

In cases of items returned to us due to failed delivery it will be the customer’s responsibility to arrange and pay for re-delivery.
Delivery times are estimated and are not guaranteed however we will do our utmost to ensure goods are delivered within the stated time. We shall not be liable for delays or failures in delivery caused by a failure to gain access to the delivery address on the agreed delivery date or failure to obtain a signature or because of other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Specific delivery times and days cannot be agreed at any time in the order process.

UK Delivery

UK Mainland

There are two options for delivery:

Fabric orders up to £60 can be carefully folded, and sent in a mailer bag for £3.90

Fabric orders over £60 can be carefully folded and sent in a mailer bag for free

Fabric can be rolled onto a cardboard tube and sent by courier for £20.00

Samples are charged at a cost of £0.50 each. Free delivery is available for up to 6 samples - this applies to UK delivery only. There will be a delivery charge for over 6 samples. 

UK islands and Highlands
Because of the very expensive surcharge charged by courier companies we cannot deliver fabric rolled onto a cardboard tube to a UK address outside of the UK mainland. Please ensure you choose the folded option and your fabric will be delivered by Royal Mail. If you wish to have your fabric delivered rolled onto a cardboard tube then please contact us prior to placing your order. We can then advise you of the additional delivery charge.

International Delivery

All international delivery charges are based on weight of the package to be sent. The price will be seen at checkout. This includes orders for samples.

Transactions are in pounds Sterling (£GBP) 

If your credit card is in any other currency, the rate of exchange will be that of your card issuer and you may be charged an international fee by them. Payment online is in a secure environment. 

Please note; you may be charged for local import duties and customs charges on the arrival of the goods in your country.

The Swedish Fabric Company are not responsible for any packages held by international customs agencies and it is not the responsibility of  The Swedish Fabric Company to make the customer aware of these agencies and their actions. Your package may arrive at your local post office or delivery center and be held until pickup and payment is taken care of. If you neglect to pick up your package and it is returned to us, we will not refund the charge for original shipping.

It is the buyer’s responsibility to check for any damages to packing materials and product before accepting delivery of the products, and to report any damage by the delivery company within 48 hours. In the unlikely event that there is any damage, please DO NOT accept delivery, DO NOT sign the delivery sheet; instead ask the driver for a damaged freight report which will need your signature. Contact us as soon as possible. Goods are not covered by transit insurance once you have accepted delivery. The Swedish Fabric Company sends out goods with various courier companies and if the goods are delayed in transit it is beyond our control and postage refunds will not be given.

It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that the correct product has been delivered to any other third party such as an upholsterer or curtain maker.
